This event is co-organised by the Women in Philanthropy Ghana(WiP-Ghana ). WiP Ghana is a women-led network comprising passionate people and organisations active in philanthropy and social entrepreneurship in Ghana and the diaspora.
As part of efforts to elevate and support the work that African diasporans are doing to enable investments and philanthropy for sustainable development and transformational impact, the diaspora community networking platform has been co-created. This Philanthropy Week is to help partners to create, engage and grow a philanthropy community in Ghana and connect them to strategic Pan-African and global diaspora platforms. The Giving Tuesday Ghana partners will share their success stories with the Diaspora Community and discuss opportunities for mutual support
This prominent annual conference will bring together philanthropy associations, support organizations, networks, advisers, funders, academic centers, and other philanthropic stakeholders from Ghana and the diaspora. The summit, themed “Transforming Together: Bridging Funders, Intermediaries, and Community for Collective Impact in Ghana,” aims to foster networking, learning, and co-creation for greater impact. GlobalGiving curates a workshop/session on a title of choice.
This initiative, developed by Centre for Strategic Philanthropy and Social Investment (CESPSI) will be introduced in collaboration with Philanthropy Ghana during Ghana Philanthropy Week. This Forum will engage Philanthropy and Social Investment organizations established by various faith-based organizations interested in promoting philanthropy globally. Since Faith influences giving globally, this opportunity will be explored to channel their wider range of funding resources to support the philanthropy sector. The Forum will adopt the Philanthropy Transformation Initiative as model for the FaithImpact Forum roundtable meeting
This is a networking and strategic collaborative roundtable meeting for the AYPN members in West Africa including engagement with West Africa Philanthropy Network and Giving Tuesday Ghana partners. Global Giving will host a workshop for the youth to take advantage of the Global Giving platform. The 2024 AYPN West Africa Connect is a roadshow event to the 5th African Youth Philanthropy Conference(this including the 2019 & 2021 Virtual Conferences).
