The Women Philanthropy Conference 2026 will bring together women philanthropists, social investors, development leaders, and changemakers from Ghana and around the world to inspire action, foster collaboration, and advance sustainable social impact. As a key event of Ghana Philanthropy Week 2026, the conference will provide a platform for dialogue, networking, and knowledge sharing on the transformative role of women in philanthropy and social investment.

Co-organised by Women in Philanthropy Ghana (WiP-Ghana), the conference will be held under the Ghana Philanthropy Week theme, “Beyond Aid: Financing Ghana’s Future Through Local Philanthropy and Social Investment.” Discussions will focus on mobilising local resources, strengthening cultures of giving, expanding social investment, and positioning women as key drivers of sustainable development and community resilience.

Generation Give Festival

Generation Give Festival (Formerly African Youth Philanthropy Conference) is a flagship initiative of the African Youth Philanthropy Network that brings together young philanthropists, changemakers, and diaspora leaders from across Africa to connect, collaborate, and celebrate their impact. The festival provides a platform for advancing youth-led giving, innovation, and social action while reshaping the narrative of philanthropy on the continent.

Through networking, learning, storytelling, and collective action, the festival strengthens the ecosystem for youth philanthropy, promotes African-led solutions, and inspires a new generation of givers committed to driving sustainable development and social impact across Africa and the diaspora.

Follow Up Event

The Strategic Policy Dialogue on Philanthropy and Social Investment is a high-level platform that brings together policymakers, philanthropy leaders, social investors, academics, and development partners to advance local philanthropy, social investment, and sustainable development in Ghana. Led by the Ubuntu Giving Alliance, the dialogue focuses on strengthening partnerships, shaping enabling policies, and mobilizing local resources for greater social impact.

A key priority is advancing the development of a National Philanthropy Policy for Ghana and fostering a stronger ecosystem for giving, impact investing, and community-led development. In 2026, the dialogue will become Ghana’s flagship policy platform on philanthropy and social investment, replacing the annual Ghana Giving Summit/Ghana Philanthropy Conference.

The Women in Philanthropy Impact Excellence (WIPIE) Awards is a flagship initiative of Women in Philanthropy Ghana, in collaboration with Media General, 3Foundation, and the Philanthropy Ghana Coalition. The initiative recognises and celebrates outstanding women philanthropists, social entrepreneurs, community leaders, and institutions whose contributions are creating lasting social impact in Ghana and beyond.

More than an awards programme, WIPIE is a platform for promoting women-led philanthropy, inspiring a culture of giving, and strengthening social impact through partnerships, storytelling, mentorship, and capacity-building initiatives.

Giving Tuesday & Diaspora Gathering is a platform designed to mobilise Ghanaians and friends of Ghana across the diaspora to give, participate, and drive meaningful social impact. Organised in collaboration with USA and African Initiative, the event brings together diaspora leaders, philanthropists, professionals, development partners, and community organisations to explore opportunities for strategic giving, volunteerism, investment, and collaboration in support of Ghana’s development priorities. Through networking, knowledge exchange, and impact-sharing, the gathering strengthens connections between the diaspora and local communities while promoting a culture of generosity, collective action, and sustainable development.
